The Royal Academy of Engineering is the National Academy for Engineering and one of our strategies is to address the engineering skills and diversity challenge. I am Stylli Charalampous, Senior Programme Manager for Further and Higher Engineering, and as such we would like to get to meet as many of you who deliver post-16 engineering qualifications in order to find out what your issues are in delivery and what you feel we could do to support our future technicians.
We are planning a national programme and would harness our working relationships with both industry and other charities to create a national programme to support FE.
An example of what we have done over the last few years was develop a number of short resources that underpin many of the principles of engineering along with interactives that both lecturers and learners can both use.  These were created with collaboration with colleges.  Click the link here to review some of them.
We have in other places come to staff meetings and shown off the resources to all the teaching staff if it helps.
It would be good if we could arrange a visit to your college to discuss any issues along with your ideas on solutions to support. So please email us by clicking here.
