Action groups are the delivery vehicle for priorities set by the DILG Steering Group responsible for increasing diversity and inclusion (D&I) across engineering employment in line with the Academy D&I Strategy. Action groups take on the delivery of themes identified by the Steering Group in conjunction with the Academy Diversity Team. Themes are adopted because they are critical for the engineering community, promote good practice, build on or progress work already underway.

Action groups are made up of representatives from DILG member organisations interested in sharing and developing good practice in relation to themes, with the aim of disseminating outputs across the engineering community and beyond. Any engineering organisation can become a DILG member.

The Academy Diversity Team keeps member organisations updated on activities, inviting interest when opportunities to take part in action groups, events and other activities arise. If you could like to receive the D&I Programme newsletter and find out when new action groups are being formed, email
