Infrastructure and adaptation
The Engineering the Future group, led by The Royal
Academy of Engineering, the IET, ICE, IMechE and
IChemE, has been commissioned to carry out a study
on the changes needed to make critical
infrastructure robust against threats posed by
climate change. This study will look at
vulnerabilities in the transport, energy, water and
communications infrastructure, it will identify
interdependencies between these elements of the UK's
infrastructure, and will identify strategies to
increase the resilience of the entire infrastructure
system. The report is based on the outcomes of five
expert workshops. Reports of these workshops will be
on this page soon. Comments on them and further
input is welcomed, and will feed in to the final
report.
Please send all comments to infrastructure consultation
