Leverhulme Trust Senior Research Fellowships Scheme: Funding
Salary of Replacement lecturer
The Fellowship covers the
gross salary costs of a replacement academic
(preferably in the early stages of their career) to
undertake the teaching and administrative
responsibilities of the researcher for the duration
of the Fellowship. The basic salary of the
replacement academic will be payable at the starting
salary of the lecturer pay scale at the host
institution.
Overall salary costs will
include employer’s National Insurance and
superannuation contributions. The costs submitted in
the application should be those that will apply when
the Fellowship commences. Note: these Fellowships
are not calculated on the basis of Full Economic
Costs (fEC).
Support fund
A sum of up to £2,500
(‘Support Fund’) may also be made available to the
researcher to cover miscellaneous costs, for
example, attendance at conferences and minor
research expenses. The ‘Support Fund’ must not be
used to meet any university overheads or indirect or
unspecified costs.
A full account of the use of
the fund will be required at the end the Fellowship.
