Schemes for Engineers in Research and Development
Leverhulme Trust Senior Research Fellowships Scheme
This year's Application Round is
now closed, the following information is for
reference purposes only. The call for the 2010 round
will be announced in June, closing date to be
confirmed.
These Fellowships provide an
opportunity for mid-career academics based in UK
universities to be relieved of their administrative
and teaching responsibilities, for between one
academic term and a year, to concentrate on
full-time research in any engineering discipline.
The Fellowship covers the cost
of a replacement academic, expected to be at a
junior level, providing them an opportunity to gain
teaching experience. The junior academic will
relieve the Fellow of all teaching and
administrative duties during the duration of the
Fellowship.
A support fund of up to £2,500 is also
available as part of the Fellowship.
If you work in a 'Research Grants Office' or
equivalent, and so aid your colleagues in applying
to such schemes, please email research info
to be added to a mailing list so we can update you
directly when core rules change and new Calls for
applications are announced.
