Royal Academy of Engineering/Nexia Solutions Innovation Prize

Instructions for Referees

The Royal Academy of Engineering has instituted this prize to recognize both organizations and individuals who have made significant contributions in the whole field of Engineering Education. The award is focused on innovation in the approach taken to teaching the subject

In judging each proposal the Selection Committee will be using the following criteria:

  • Excellence of the content and material.

  • Uniqueness or novelty introduced in its execution.

  • Demonstrable metrics of success including student/participant feedback and lasting impact.

  • Take up by others.

  • Published professional reviews.

  • Media interest generated.

As part of the application process we request supporting letters from two independent referees. As a nominated Referee we would be grateful to receive your opinion on the proposal in question. The information above will hopefully provide a useful guide for composing your letter of support otherwise please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Letters should be sent to Ian Bowbrick and arrive no later than 1st March 2007.
