Royal Academy of
Engineering/Nexia Solutions Innovation Prize
Instructions For Proposers
The Royal Academy of
Engineering has instituted this prize to recognize
both organizations and individuals who have made
significant contributions in the whole field of
Engineering Education. The award is focused on
innovation in the approach taken to teaching the
subject.
In judging each proposal the Selection Committee
will be using the following criteria:
-
Excellence of the content and material.
-
Uniqueness or novelty introduced in its execution.
-
Demonstrable metrics of success including student/participant feedback and lasting impact.
-
Take up by others.
-
Published professional reviews.
-
Media interest generated.
As a Proposer it is your role
to provide detailed information relating to the
selection criteria so that the project you are
putting forward for the prize is seen in the best
possible light. The information above will hopefully
provide a useful guide for composing your
application.
The application form has been designed specifically
to enable a freestyle presentation of material and
the opportunity to append any additional and
relevant supporting material.
Please ensure that your referees are provided with a
copy of your application and guidelines for
referees.
Questions, applications and referees letters should
be sent to Ian Bowbrick and arrive no later
than 1st March 2007.
