Teaching Engineering Ethics
The Teaching Engineering
Ethics Group (TEEG) is jointly managed by The Royal
Academy of Engineering and the Engineering
Professors Council. It is a group of engineers in
academia involved in the teaching of engineering
ethics. The aim of the group is to give advice on
how to teach engineering ethics and how to
incorporate ethics into the engineering degree.
Publications
This curriculum map is an
example of how ethics can be incorporated into an
engineering degree. It is intending as a resource
for all academics, is free to use and can be adapted
or changed.
This survey shows the extent
to which ethics is currently covered in engineering
education. It demonstrates the need for expansion in
the teaching of engineering ethics.
Events
Workshop for new teachers of ethics
The Royal Academy of
Engineering and Engineering Professors’ Council
working group on Teaching Engineering Ethics is
holding a one-day workshop for new teachers of
engineering ethics. This workshop is for new or
established academics who are teaching ethics for
the first time, or may be teaching engineering
ethics in the future. The workshop will look at how
to incorporate ethics into existing modules and
integrate it within the whole degree. It will be
held on Friday July 11th at the Royal Academy
of Engineering. Details are on the flyer
