Academic-Industrial Interactions Questionnaire
The purpose of this short questionnaire is to determine some of the key attitudes to industry / academia relations that are
currently prevalent among the attendees of the Academy’s regional seminars on the topic. By using the same questionnaire at
all of the seminars, we hope to be able to build a picture of current perceptions and gather as many views on how best to
improve the situation as possible. We also hope to identify any local issues which stand out from the national picture. All of
this information will be used by the Academy when we come to consider the output from the seminars and, will help to identify
local and national best practice in industry led research.
Although most of the data in the questionnaire will be collated and used anonymously, it would be useful to us to be able to
follow up individuals if we feel we would like more details on a particular view or comment. Some comments may be used in
an attributable form to illustrate points in our final report, but if you would prefer to remain anonymous, we will respect that
wish. To help with the analysis of the responses, it would be helpful if you could give us some details about yourself.
