The Academy aims to build on recent success by securing additional support - from companies, charitable trusts and individuals - for its activities so as to increase the impact of its leading role in:

  • education and engagement – increasing the size and diversity of the pool of engineering talent available in the UK
  • society and government – informing debate and furthering understanding of engineering matters
  • research and industry – supporting world-class UK research in strategic and emerging technologies
  • prizes and awards – encouraging and rewarding engineering excellence.

The Academy’s development activities are assisted by the Development Advisory Board, which includes Academy Fellows and other individuals similarly committed to raising awareness of the contribution engineering and engineers make to the health and wealth of our society.

Opportunities for partnering with the Academy are illustrated in our Engineering in Partnership  brochure.
