This House believes that there is no need for concern about the future global supply of strategic minerals

In this series of
debates, the Academy is tackling some of the
most pressing challenges that the world currently faces in relation to the
demand and supply of natural resources. The series brings together engineers,
industry leaders, economists and policy makers to debate the various aspects of
these challenges and to explore the possible solutions on a global
scale. In this debate, the panel and audience will consider whether
technology and new business practices can do enough to allay the risk of future
global shocks in the supply of strategic minerals.This
House believes that there is no need for concern about the future global supply
of strategic minerals.

Water security challenges - is water transfer the answer?

The second of a series of three events on water security, this session will look at water transfer in the context of the UK and whether it could potentially address some of the challenges of water supply. The meeting will provide a range of views on need, feasibility, carbon and environmental impact. This event will be chaired by Professor Roger Falconer FREng FICE FCIWEM.
This event is free of charge, and there will be a short networking session at the end of the event.
