The UK & Ireland Engineering Education Research Network celebrates its 5th anniversary this year with a symposium hosted by the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Call for Abstracts

Extended abstracts are invited for research presentations on the following themes:

  • It’s time for change! Challenging the Status Quo
  • Research informed engineering education
  • Engineering education from school to employment and beyond
  • The Engineering skills gap: Myth or mission?

In addition to this, papers are invited on any relevant topic from PhD students and newer researchers. These should be clearly marked ‘Newer Researchers’.

Extended abstracts should be 750-1000 words (excluding references) and structured in accordance with the guidelines.

One-stage review process

Reviewer comments and notification of acceptance will be provided as soon as practicable after submission.

Authors must be available to present their work at the symposium in London.

Please note that it is our intention to make accepted abstracts and presentation slides available on the UK and Ireland EER Network Website hosted by HE Focus (RAEng) after the symposium.
