This latest in the Academy’s Innovation in... series of events will showcase a selection of some of the most recent advances in space technologies and space-enabled services, focussing on innovations that have successfully reached market or are expected to in the next 5 to 10 years.

Topics will include small satellites, telecommunications using satellite constellations, earth observation and access to space. A panel discussion with key leaders in the sector will explore the future for space innovation, and the wider social, political and economic issues. 

Professor Sir Martin Sweeting FREng FRS, Executive Chairman of Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd, will deliver the introductory presenation as well as chair the afternoon. Other speakers and panellists include:
