The Rank Prize Fund

The Funds were established under the will of the late Lord Rank to foster the sciences of Optoelectronics and Nutrition. They award substantial prizes and organise symposia where talented students interact with international authorities. A more recent initiative is the Optoelectronics College, which trains teachers in optoelectronics and provides experimental kits, with the aim of persuading more pupils to embrace science.
