Visiting Professors' Scheme
Visiting Professors in Innovation
The latest addition to the
Visiting Professor stable, this initiative has been
established to promote effective practice in the
creativity-innovation-design cycle of activity and
to incorporate the exposure of undergraduate
engineering design projects and ideas to the
marketplace. This approach takes forward several of
the key findings of the 2005 Treasury sponsored Cox
Review of Creativity in Business.
The story so far
The scheme has just completed
its fifth cycle of appointments and now has Visiting
Professors operating at: Aston, Bath, Birmingham,
Bristol, Brunel, Cambridge, Cranfield, Heriot-Watt,
Hertfordshire, Hull, Liverpool, London South Bank,
Loughborough, Northumbria, Nottingham, Plymouth,
Queen Mary, RCA/Imperial College, Sheffield,
