Sainsbury Management Fellowships: Instructions to Applicants

Please provide evidence of all qualifications including membership of professional bodies (photocopies will be sufficient).

  1. Details of two referees, who have up-to-date knowledge of your career, must be given in Section 8 of your application form.

  2. Please enclose four passport-size photographs.

  3. Indicate in Section 5 of the application form whether or not you have a confirmed business school place, the name of the school and start date.

  4. Indicate the length of course (e.g. 1 year full-time MBA).

  5. Section 6: additional information concerning your job description should be attached on a separate sheet. You should emphasise the job’s level of responsibility within the organisation, the size of any budget under your control and the number of people reporting directly to you.

  6. Section 9: emphasis should be placed on extra-curricular activities.

  7. Return your completed application form to the Sainsbury Management Fellowship Scheme at The Royal Academy of Engineering.

  8. We shall acknowledge receipt of your application form immediately. Please allow a couple of weeks for your application to be processed. We will then advise as to whether you are to be invited for an interview.

  9. There is considerable pressure on the application procedure for both the business schools and the scheme; we would therefore recommend that candidates apply as early as possible, ideally three months before the start date of the course.
