Engineering in a Box: Wales

The Academy has recently been awarded funding from the Welsh Government to disseminate a bilingual version of our Engineering Ideas Box (EIB), plus associated training, to 135 maintained secondary schools in Wales. The EIB contains practical, hands-on STEM activity resources plus materials to allow students to work on the resources either within a STEM Club, or teachers could use the box within lesson time as curriculum enhancement or enrichment activity.

In addition to receiving a free Engineering Ideas Box which is worth approx. £200 and free associated training, we are also able to offer STEM Club grants of £100. This can be used for purchasing further materials to support the setting up of a new STEM Club or the enhancement of an existing club. The STEM Club grants are only available to those schools who receive an EIB.

Our delivery partner for this project is EESW and we are working with Bob Cater in the dissemination of the EIBs.

Schools in Wales wishing to take part in this project should first contact EESW at info@stemcymru.org.uk to register their interest in receiving an EIB and the associated free training before completing and submitting the form below to receive the £100 STEM Club grant.
