The Royal Academy of Engineering’s London Design Festival Programme 2012

The Engineering Maker

The Academy is proud once again to be part of the London Design Festival. This is a year of celebration for the UK with the Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012 Olympic Games, and in the same vein our programme celebrates UK engineering designers – the engineering makers, whose ingenuity and inventiveness give us hope for a better and more prosperous future. Our contribution to this year’s programme will take participants on a voyage of discovery through the creative roots and inspiration behind engineering design, through to the novel use and application of state-of-the-art materials to the commercial exploitation of engineered products and processes.

Whether you are a school pupil, teacher, designer, artist or a Londoner our programme will have something to inspire you.

ADDITIONAL EVENT ADDED - McLaren will be displaying an MP4-12c sports car on the forecourt at the Academy on Wednesday 19 September 2012.

Date: 19 - 21 September 2012
Venue: The Royal Academy of Engineering, 3 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5DG
