Head of Enterprise

Full time 1 year FTC (with possibility of extension)
Salary c.£45k + incentives & benefits

We are the national academy for engineering, and our main aim is to bring together the country’s most eminent engineers from all disciplines to promote excellence in all aspects of engineering.

Our Enterprise Hub has been created to bring about a step change in the success of UK entrepreneurial technology businesses and the contribution they make to growth. This will be achieved through harnessing the expertise and networks of Academy Fellows to identify and mentor high potential entrepreneurs with great propositions and connect them with investors and routes to market. The Hub will also celebrate UK successes and deliver policy advice to improve the UK climate for entrepreneurship.

We are currently seeking a charismatic and highly-motivated individual to drive the establishment and operation of this very high profile project.

The successful candidate is likely to have had experience in early-stage investment or a start-up company, or to have been in a policy position with close links to enterprise. A personal passion for entrepreneurship and innovation is essential. A broad understanding of the engineering and technology community and policy environment would be an asset. You will have a track-record in delivering successful projects and establishing excellent relationships, first rate communication skills and a proactive and dynamic approach.
