Assistant Manager, Awards

An opportunity has arisen to join our busy Awards and Events team based in Central London.

The Academy showcases a prestigious portfolio of awards, medals and prizes to recognise and reward excellence in engineering. We are seeking an individual who will be central to the administration of our high-profile awards programme and who will be Secretary to the Academy’s three Awards Committees. This position will also involve occasional assistance with organising some of the Academy’s principal events (such as awards ceremonies and events in Parliament).

You are likely to be a graduate (or equivalent) who has a background of managing committees and in organising meetings and events. You will be extremely well organised, give meticulous attention to detail, work to tight deadlines, be prepared to work flexibly and show confidence at working with people at all levels of seniority. You will have excellent IT skills, particularly with Microsoft packages, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new programmes and databases.
