Resource Coordinator for STEM After-School Clubs and STEM Ambassadors

18-month Fixed Term, Full-Time, Central London

The Project:

The Royal Academy of Engineering leads the Engineering Engagement Project which adds support to the Engineering and Technology components of the UK STEM Programme. The Engineering Engagement Project seeks to amplify the engineering and technology components of the STEM Programme in particular ways, including the support of engineering activity in after-school STEM clubs and furthering the training of engineers who sign up to the STEM Ambassador scheme. This makes STEMNET a natural partner in this work as they operate the national infrastructure for both STEM Clubs and STEM Ambassadors.

The Role:

The Resource Coordinator will work on a day-to-day basis with STEMNET to develop training material to include in CPD courses for teachers seeking to start a STEM Club with a particular engineering focus, and for engineers seeking to enhance the ways they can bring engineering to life in their role as STEM Ambassadors.

This is a practical role which will suit someone who understands how to demonstrate the excitement and relevance of engineering to young people from diverse backgrounds in the maintained schools system.

The salary offered for the position is up to £37k per annum.

CVs and covering letters are not required. Completed applications can be e-mailed electronically to lynda...@...org.uk or posted to:
