Senior Research Science Consultant, Saudi Aramco
 Admired for his contributions to fundamental and applied combustion
science, Gautam Kalghatgi is known for his research on fuel influences on the performance
of spark ignition and compression ignition engines. His original research led to the
development of ‘spark-aider’ additives and his synthesis of other findings have
been significant in introducing novel fuel formulations in nearly thirty countries. He has
also been a leading participant in international groups addressing future fuel quality
requirements.
