OC Robotics is the market leader in flexible robotic snake-arm technology, making systems designed to work in confined and hazardous spaces. Already used in nuclear power plants, the technology could revolutionise aircraft assembly and the maintenance of complex industrial plant and machinery. Snake-arm robots also have potential to advance minimally invasive surgery techniques and be used for security applications.

Buckingham is Managing Director of OC Robotics who,
together with co-founding director Andrew Graham,
took the concept of snake-arm robots from theory to
commercial success. OC Robotics was awarded the
Queens Award for Enterprise and subsequently the
co-founders were awarded The Royal Academy of
Engineering Silver Medal.|
