Dr Martin Grant FREng FIMechE
Chief Executive Officer, Energy, Atkins plc
 An expert in risk analysis and integrity management in high-hazard
industries, Martin Grant has made a particular contribution in the energy sector. He joined
Atkins in 1984 and his career has covered work in the oil and gas, nuclear, power, renewables,
chemical and defence industries as well as an assignment to the Channel Tunnel project. He
received a Royal Academy of Engineering Silver Medal in 1998 for his achievements in innovation
and industry, particularly his development of concept risk assessment methodology to evaluate
safety risks on oil & gas projects.
