Allen Leatt is a renowned expert in the field of subsea engineering in the
offshore oil and gas industry. He led the design team that developed the Triton ST range of
Remotely Operated Vehicles, which became an industry standard for robotic systems in water
depths up to 3,000 metres. He has developed many new techniques and assets used in offshore
construction, including the novel Tiltable Lay System, used on large construction vessels for
installing sophisticated flexible steel pipe in ultra-deepwater. He is also the executive
sponsor and main architect of the world’s largest deep-water combination pipe-lay and
crane vessel: the Seven Borealis.|
