Council and Committees: Awards Committee

The role of the Awards Committee is to identify and recommend to Council appropriate candidates for (i) the Academy's own Medals, with the exception of the MacRobert Award which has its own committee, and (ii) prestigious national and international prizes and awards whose remits fall within the competence of the Academy's Fellows. It also has the responsibility of making recommendations to Council, from time to time, for new prizes or awards to be created by the Academy for specific purposes.
