Development Projects

Funds available for the development and delivery of training courses, seminars and workshops specifically for engineers (from UK higher educational institutions or industry) that relate to public engagement.

Projects should aim to include opportunities for engineers to practise their new skills by taking part in public engagement activities.

For example:

• residential courses on 'Public engagement theory and practice'

• pilot skills training courses on 'Communicating with the public'

• introductory courses to 'Engaging with young people'

• online training modules on ‘Public engagement’

• media (broadcast and print) training

• seminars on ‘Societal implications of future technologies’
